Water Facilities Team Leader

Location: Huntsville, Alabama

Garver is seeking a Water Facilities Team Leader to build and maintain a portfolio of profitable water, wastewater, and reuse projects in support of our Alabama Water Services Team. The responsibilities encompass the study, planning, design, and implementation of treatment facilities for water and wastewater. This senior leadership role offers autonomy to run your own business within our organization, focusing on revenue growth and production for selected clients.

Project Responsibilities

• Water conveyance and distribution, including pump stations and storage facilities
• Wastewater conveyance and collection, including lift stations and force mains
• Pipeline inspection and rehabilitation
• Water, wastewater, and reuse master planning
• Water, wastewater, and reuse treatment facilities

Required Skills

• Team Leadership: Develop, mentor, and oversee a highly motivated team.
• Project Management: Prepare scope of work and level‑of‑effort estimates for contract proposals; lead and manage the team to deliver contracted scope, budget, and schedule.
• Water/Wastewater Expertise: Deliver planning, design, bidding, and construction administration phases for water and wastewater facilities projects.
• Business Development: Develop, capture, and maintain workload for the team across Alabama by establishing and maintaining positive client relationships.
• Client Service Management: Maintain a healthy network of clients throughout Alabama.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Alabama or ability to gain reciprocity within 6 months of hire.
• At least 5 years of comparable experience in the water/wastewater utilities market.

Preferred Skills

• Passion for client service and the water industry.
• Strong work ethic and communication skills.
• Master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• Experience with state and/or national conference technical presentations on water/wastewater treatment topics.
