Job summary

City of Charlotte is seeking a professional to manage water infrastructure projects from conception to warranty. The role oversees planning, procurement, design, bidding, construction, and execution, ensuring budgets, safety, and quality control.

You will coordinate with consulting engineers, public agencies, and City departments to drive project success, handle changes, and deliver results that meet regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum three years of related work experience in civil engineering/construction management.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects to meet schedules and budgets; supervise consultants and contracts.
• Review planning reports, plans, estimates, and specifications for compliance and quality.
• Coordinate with departmental divisions during design, startup, acceptance phases.
• Lead selection of consultants and negotiate contracts fairly.
• Inform stakeholders about project impacts, schedules, and resolutions.
