Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil or Environmental Engineering Intern for Summer 2027, located in South Burlington, VT with potential offices in RI, CT or NH. You will work in a team environment on water/wastewater and urban drainage projects, supporting engineers with calculations, drawings and documentation while gaining exposure to construction management processes.

The role targets motivated students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering and offers hands-on experience,

Qualifications

• Applicants should be in progress toward earning a bachelor’s degree (minimum) in civil or environmental engineering.
• Exposure to civil/environmental design, process engineering or construction management courses is valuable.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in calculations, reports, drawings and specifications for bidding and construction.
• Prepare and edit drawings within CAD/BIM software platforms.
• Provide engineering services during construction of water infrastructure.
• Support field investigations in a team setting.
