Job summary

OHM Advisors seeks a Hydraulic Modeling Engineer to contribute to planning, design, and construction of water infrastructure projects with a focus on distribution systems. You’ll join a growing team of hydraulic modelers on local, regional, and nationwide projects.

The role requires 2–5 years’ experience, strong communication, and a passion for water systems. ABET accreditation and EIT preferred. Office-based in Columbus with opportunities for fieldwork and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil, or mechanical engineering (ABET-accredited).
• EIT preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in hydraulic modeling or water distribution.
• Knowledge of hydraulic principles and analyses.
• Experience with hydraulic modeling software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and calibrate hydraulic models for water distribution systems and analyze results.
• Assist on master planning and design projects.
• Perform booster station analyses for capacity and reliability.
• Develop future water demand projections and dashboards.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Fieldwork and site visits may be required.
• Analyze and process large amounts of data.
