Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Water Infrastructure Engineering Intern – Summer 2027 for our Henderson, NV office. You will assist in drawings, specs, and design documents for water projects, support analyses, and help document findings under experienced engineers.

You will prepare technical reports, permit materials, and project documentation, while collecting data on site conditions and regulatory requirements. Expect mentorship and exposure to real-world infrastructure work.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills for entering data into spreadsheets or databases.

Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Water Infrastructure Engineering Intern – Summer 2027 to join our Henderson, NV office.

Your role

• Assist with the preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, and design documents for water infrastructure projects.


• Support engineering studies and planning activities by collecting data, performing basic analyses, and completing routine calculations using established methods.


• Assist in evaluating design alternatives and documenting findings under the guidance of experienced engineers.


• Prepare portions of technical reports, permit application materials, and project documentation for review by senior staff.


• Assist with data collection, research, and analysis related to site conditions, regulatory requirements, and project feasibility.


• Support construction-phase activities by reviewing project records, tracking progress, and assisting with document management.


• Create basic graphic presentations, exhibits, and supporting materials for project deliverables.

About You

• EXPERIENCE: No experience is generally required if accepted into a Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.


• EDUCATION: Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil or environmental engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).


• SPECIAL SKILLS: Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.




• Math skills to perform simple calculations; willingness to learn.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office


• Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred)

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
