Job summary

Carollo Engineers, Inc. in Walnut Creek, CA, is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with water/wastewater design and project management expertise to lead medium- to large-scale infrastructure projects.

You will plan, design, and manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships while mentoring teams and pursuing new work. A Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering and PE registration are required; a Master’s is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer.
• 4–8 years of water and wastewater infrastructure design experience with at least five years of project management experience.
• Demonstrated experience in design and construction administration of small, medium, and large water and wastewater infrastructure projects including pump stations, wastewater collection systems, potable and reclaimed water transmission/distribution systems, and pipeline rehabilitation projects.
• Project management experience including development and management of scope, schedule, budget, and quality assurance plans.
• Business development experience including development of statements of qualifications, proposals, and interviews.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering work in pipelines, pump stations, and storage tanks.
• Plan, schedule, and conduct engineering work on moderately complex projects.
• Prepare designs, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water and wastewater projects.
• Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and deliverables; data entry and analysis through construction.
• Manage projects including budget, schedule, contractual obligations, and quality standards.
• Direct team members to produce successful projects and act independently on technical matters.
• Identify and direct sub consultants; develop relationships with clients and pursue work.
