Jacobs is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to join our Huntsville, Alabama Water team. You will support planning, design, and construction projects that improve water infrastructure and enhance communities.

The role provides growth alongside experienced engineers while gaining hands-on experience in water, wastewater, and conveyance systems. Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree, have hydraulics coursework, and can work both independently and in teams within a collaborative

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Relevant water / wastewater coursework or projects.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning and design of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects.
• Perform engineering calculations related to hydraulics modeling, pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities.
• Support the preparation of engineering reports, studies, specifications, and construction documents.
• Participate in the development of drawings and design packages
• Conduct data collection, field investigations, and site visits
• Assist with construction administration activities, including reviewing submittals, responding to contractor questions, and conducting field inspections.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, including environmental, structural, electrical, and mechanical engineers and architects.
• Support project scheduling, cost estimating, and budget tracking activities.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, and company quality standards.
