Position

Entry‑Level Water/Wastewater Engineer – Montgomery, AL.

Responsibilities

Work alongside Project Management and Design Leads in the planning, designing, and commissioning of projects from design through construction for water treatment, collection and distribution projects. Tasks may include:

  • Hydraulic modeling
  • Assisting in the preparation of plans and specifications
  • Performing research, technical writing, development of documentation and studies
  • Data collection, processing, and analysis to support planning and design activities
  • Supporting construction activities related to designs to ensure proper construction
  • Providing on‑site troubleshooting based on field conditions, including construction observation, startup and testing, and project closeout activities
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Biosystems, Chemical or Environmental Engineering
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite and PDF editors
  • Relevant water/wastewater coursework or projects
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering
  • Prior work or internship experience with an engineering consultancy or municipality
  • Engineer In Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain in the first year

Compensation
