Job summary

Ayesa Engineering is seeking a Senior Design Manager for Water infrastructure to lead the design team from concept through construction, coordinating multidisciplinary efforts across water, wastewater, and utilities sectors.

The role emphasizes stakeholder engagement, design reviews, and timely updates while driving innovation, sustainability, and value-based outcomes within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Process, Mechanical or Electrical, or Water Engineering (or related discipline).
• Chartered or near-Chartered status (ICE, CIWEM, MEng, BEng or equivalent).
• 15+ years’ experience in water, utilities, or civil infrastructure design and management.
• Proven experience in design management and project leadership within multidisciplinary environments.
• Strong commercial understanding, including NEC/FIDIC/PWC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the design team for water infrastructure from concept through construction.
• Oversee design management and QA compliance, including multidisciplinary reviews.
• Collaborate with Water Director and stakeholders to deliver best value solutions.
• Deliver transparent updates and promote collaboration and knowledge transfer.
• Champion innovation and sustainability in design solutions.
• Monitor design progress to time, cost and quality targets.
