Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Water Engineering Designer intern for our Bellevue office for the Summer of 2027. You will assist engineers across water and wastewater projects, including pump stations, reservoirs, and distribution systems.

The internship offers hands-on experience, collaboration with engineers and drafters, and opportunities to develop technical and professional skills in a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Requires current 3rd year standing as an undergraduate in an accredited Civil Engineering program or related discipline.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel and engineering software.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or MicroStation experience is preferred.
• Experience with ArcGIS is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of feasibility studies, functional plans, and preliminary detailed design for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Assist with project monitoring and scheduling.
• Perform calculations and analysis.
• Assist in applying for and obtaining the necessary permits and approvals to proceed with construction.
• Collaborate with other engineers, drafters, and support staff.
• Attend site visits or inspections.
