Job summary

Qualifications

• Supervisory principles and techniques in construction management.
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, tools and equipment for pipelines.
• Familiar with applicable standards and specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specs.
• Ability to perform construction-related mathematical calculations.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, review and evaluate work of technicians and coordinators on main projects.
• Approve construction and materials to ensure conformance with plans and specs.
• Stop work or require corrective measures for non-conforming work.
• Plan, organize, direct, review and evaluate staff work on water pipelines systems.
• Inspect projects; ensure safety and proper grade/locate; manage releases of materials.
• Review progress and cost estimates of contract projects.
• Prepare monthly records of construction completed.
• Maintain liaison with public agencies on codes and ordinances.
