Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago seeks a Water Fitness Instructor to lead engaging water fitness classes, develop progressive plans, and ensure participant safety. You will assist with facility setup, provide emergency support, and maintain certifications.

Compensation includes $30-$40 per hour for classes and $20 per hour for administrative tasks and training, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Must have current Water Fitness certification.
• Must be physically and mentally able to respond to emergencies and administer CPR and First Aid effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead water fitness classes with a personalized approach.
• Prepare progressive exercise plans for participants.
• Provide clear explanations of safe exercises and demonstrate proper form.
• Set up facility or equipment for classes.
• Assist in emergencies and back up lifeguards as needed.
• Maintain current certifications and report injuries as required.
