Job summary

ServiceMaster Restore in Crofton, MD is seeking an experienced Water & Fire Mitigation Supervisor to oversee field mitigation projects and lead restoration teams in accordance with IICRC S500 and S700 standards. This role rewards technically skilled professionals who understand drying science, mentor staff, and ensure quality and compliance on every job.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in restoration, mitigation, or disaster recovery.
• Proven leadership or crew lead experience.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work.
• Willingness to participate in on-call emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Lead water damage restoration, fire and smoke mitigation projects.
• Direct daily on-site operations for technicians and subcontractors.
• Perform moisture inspections and moisture mapping.
• Determine drying, cleaning, containment, and deodorization strategies with Project Management.
• Set up, monitor, and adjust drying and air scrubber equipment.
• Oversee controlled demolition and removal per scope.
• Enforce PPE, containment, and cross-contamination controls.
• Document readings, equipment placement, and progress in restoration software.
• Communicate professionally with customers, adjusters, and internal teams.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate technicians of all skill levels.
