Job summary

ServiceMaster Restore in the United States seeks an experienced Water & Fire Mitigation Supervisor to oversee field mitigation projects and lead restoration teams in accordance with IICRC S500 and S700 standards.

You will direct daily jobsite operations for technicians and subcontractors, perform moisture inspections and psychrometrics, and ensure safe, compliant work on water and fire losses. This role requires hands-on leadership and emergency response readiness.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in restoration, mitigation, or disaster recovery.
• Proven leadership or crew lead experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in demanding environments.
• Availability for emergency response and on-call rotation.
• IICRC WRT/FSRT certification preferred; others okay.

Responsibilities

• Lead water damage restoration, fire and smoke mitigation projects.

• Determine drying, cleaning, containment, and deodorization strategies.
• Set up, monitor, and adjust drying, filtration, and air scrubber equipment.

• Enforce PPE usage, containment, and cross-contamination control.
• Document moisture readings, equipment placement, and progress in software.
• Communicate professionally with customers, adjusters, and internal teams.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate technicians at all skill levels.

We are seeking an experienced Water & Fire Mitigation Supervisor with strong IICRC alignment to oversee field mitigation projects and lead restoration teams in accordance with IICRC S500 and S700 standards.

This role is ideal for a technically skilled restoration professional who understands drying science, leads from the front, and holds teams accountable for quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead water damage restoration, fire and smoke mitigation, and related remediation projects
• Direct daily jobsite operations for technicians and subcontractors
• Perform and verify moisture inspections, moisture mapping, and psychrometric calculations
• Determine appropriate drying, cleaning, containment, and deodorization strategies in coordination with Project Management
• Set up, monitor, and adjust drying, filtration, and air scrubber equipment
• Oversee controlled demolition and removal per approved scope
• Enforce PPE usage, containment, and cross-contamination control
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with IICRC standards and company SOPs
• Document moisture readings, equipment placement, job progress, and photos using restoration software
• Communicate professionally with customers, adjusters, and internal teams
• Train, mentor, and evaluate technicians at all skill levels

Required Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in restoration, mitigation, or disaster recovery
• Demonstrated leadership or crew lead experience
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments
• Availability for emergency response and on-call rotation

Preferred Qualifications

• IICRC WRT and FSRT required; ASD, AMRT, or additional certifications strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of drying science, psychrometrics, and material behavior
• Experience with insurance-driven restoration and adjuster coordination
• Proficiency in restoration documentation and job management software
• Experience assisting with job scoping, supplements, and scope validation
