Job summary

National Water Services, LLC. seeks a Service Technician in Fayetteville, NC to perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on water dispensing cabinets.

This on-call, 1099 independent contractor role requires strong plumbing, electrical and mechanical knowledge, the ability to work independently, and reliable transportation with your own tools. You will diagnose issues with gauges and flow meters, install components such as filters and UV lamps, document all work for payment

Qualifications

• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Must own transportation and necessary on-site tools; smartphone with email access.
• Professional communication in English; able to report findings clearly.
• Physical ability to bend, squat, climb stairs or ladders as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on water dispensing cabinets.
• Establish positive relationships with customers and store management; deliver high-quality service.
• Troubleshoot and report on pressure gauges, flow meters, leaks; use Multi-meters; conduct water tests.
• Replace components (filters, valves, fittings, wiring) and upgrade equipment as needed.
• Address repairs and be available for occasional emergency service within 24–48 hours for urgent cases.
• Complete required paperwork for payment processing.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Service Technician to join our team in FAYETTEVILLE, NC. As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing preventative and emergency maintenance and repairs on our water dispensing cabinets.

Job Duties

1. Establishing and fostering positive relationships with both customers and store management through effective communication and service delivery.
2. Demonstrating exceptional customer service skills to ensure a satisfying experience for clients.
3. Conducting proactive maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, UV lamp installations, battery changes, and equipment upgrades.
4. Employing troubleshooting skills to accurately read and report pressure gauges, flow meters, and detect leaks. Proficiently using multi-meters and conducting water sampling tests.
5. Effectively addressing repair needs, including but not limited to fixing leaks, tightening fittings, and replacing valves, fittings, tubing, electrical wires, and components.
6. Being available for occasional emergency service calls, which may occur during regular or off-business hours. Our commitment is to have a skilled service technician on-site within 24-48 hours or sooner for urgent situations.
7. Ensuring timely completion and submission of all required paperwork for payment processing.

Requirements

• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Exhibit professionalism with excellent time management skills, demonstrating the ability to work independently and responsibly.
• Possess a Smartphone and proficiency in using email for communication and reporting purposes.
• Maintain physical capabilities, including the ability to bend, squat, and, if needed, climb stairs or ladders as part of the job tasks.
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Provide own transportation and tools for on-site visits.

Pay & Work Hours

• Compensation: $45 - $55 per hour minimum, based on experience.
• Service Frequency: On Call, as needed.
• Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor position, offering no benefits.
