Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a motivated civil/environmental engineering student to join a collaborative team delivering water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. You will assist design efforts, analyze data, and support asset management while learning AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Revit, BIM, Power BI, and SharePoint.

You will participate in site visits, data collection, and reporting, contributing to sustainability and resilience initiatives across municipal customers and utilities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD and related design tools.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and design water, wastewater, and stormwater projects including pipelines and pumping facilities.
• Support project management activities and client meetings.
• Contribute to sustainability and resilience projects through assessments and solution design.
• Perform site visits, water sampling, water quality analysis, and process optimization.
• Gather field data and support operation of water systems.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and AV materials.
• Learn and manage databases, SQL Server, cloud services, and dashboards.
• Collaborate with teams across the U.S. and internationally using digital tools.

Job description

• Evaluate, plan, and design water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment and conveyance projects, including pipelines and pumping facilities
• Support project management activities
• Contribute to sustainability and resilience projects through vulnerability assessments, mitigation planning, and solution design for utilities, municipalities, and cities
• Perform site visits, water sampling, water quality analysis, technology evaluation, process troubleshooting, and plant operations optimization
• Gather critical field data and support efficient operation of water and wastewater systems
• Support Asset Management projects through data analytics, operational and organizational assessments, condition assessments, and facility performance evaluation
• Prepare reports, presentations, and audio-visual materials
• Participate in client meetings
• Ensure project compliance with Arcadis practices and quality, health, and safety standards
• Coordinate timely completion and submission of projects on time and budget
• Learn, design, and manage databases, SQL Server, cloud-based computing services, and interactive dashboards
• Collaborate independently and with teams across the U.S. and internationally
• Use digital tools including SharePoint, BIM, Power BI, and Augmented Reality to enhance collaboration and project delivery

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelors of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a closely related engineering discipline)
