The ideal candidate will hold a relevant degree, possess strong analytical and communication skills, and have substantial experience in dam and infrastructure projects. This position offers a hybrid work environment and a competitive salary ranging from $95,000 to $135,000.

  • Field experience in geotechnical investigations and construction activities.

PSR Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading engineering and infrastructure firm to recruit an experienced Water Engineer for projects across Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineering professional with expertise in dam design and analysis to contribute to complex water resources and infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions, leading projects, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support dam safety and design initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze dam embankments and flood control structures, focusing on seepage, slope stability, and dam safety.
  • Perform structural design of reinforced concrete hydraulic structures such as spillways, outlet works, and stilling basins.
  • Apply advanced engineering principles to solve complex technical challenges and site-specific conditions.
  • Contribute to the development of project design criteria and technical approaches.
  • Lead the execution and coordination of complex engineering assignments.
  • Support proposal development and act as a technical specialist when required.
  • Manage multidisciplinary project teams and oversee project delivery.
  • Serve in roles such as Project Manager, Client Manager, or Proposal Manager as needed.
  • Conduct QA/QC reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure satisfaction and support business development efforts.
  • Prepare technical reports, design documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Provide construction-phase support and guidance to field teams.
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates and engineering proposals.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain.
  • 5–10+ years of experience in dam, water resources, or mining projects.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Field experience in geotechnical investigations and construction activities.
  • Strong analytical, technical writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience with GeoStudio.
  • MSHA certification.
  • Prior experience supervising staff.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or BC.EE certification.
