Job summary

The City of Bradenton Public Works & Utilities - Water Distribution Division seeks an experienced Superintendent to lead the Water Distribution Division. You will plan, organize, direct and supervise operations, oversee safety, budgeting, and capital projects, and report to PWU leadership.

This exempt, full-time role requires strong supervisory skills and emergency responsiveness. Starting compensation is $70,138 per year (DOQ).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least five years of supervisory experience.
• Florida Class A Water Distribution Operator License is required or the highest level available.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, schedule, and supervise the Water Distribution Division staff.
• Prepare division budgets and monitor expenditures.
• Review plans, specifications, and projects for expansion or repair.
• Ensure facilities meet regulatory standards and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with other city divisions and external partners.
