Job summary

Candidates with a PE license are preferred; without a PE, consideration may be given to an Engineering Specialist at $31.80 to $39.13 per hour. The position centers on regulatory compliance and project delivery for the water utility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with surveying, hydraulics, structures, geotechnical, or sanitary sewer disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, modify, and review engineering designs, plans, reports, estimates, and specifications.
• Collect and maintain data for projects; analyze and validate data.
• Manage capital improvement projects from identification through construction and acceptance.
• Prepare cost estimates and technical reports.
• Conduct technical reviews of proposals, plans, and calculations.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
