Job summary

Garver's Water Design Center in College Station, TX is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience in water and wastewater facility design. You will assist with site civil components and drafting, supporting grading and layout plans, and performing basic calculations using CAD tools.

Join a collaborative team, participate in project meetings, site visits and field investigations, and grow through Garver's Launch program and wellness initiatives.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a civil engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in designing water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Willingness to learn in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with design and drafting of site civil components for water and wastewater facilities.
• Support grading, drainage, erosion control, utility and site layout plans.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and quantity estimates.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to support project design tasks.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits and field investigations.
