Job summary

Garver's Water Design Center in College Station, TX is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern. Join a team of water infrastructure professionals and gain hands-on experience in structural design for water and wastewater facilities.

You will develop FE models, assist with cost estimates, review submittals, and learn about treatment processes while working in an in-office environment with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a structural engineering major from an ABET-accredited program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• In-office position; some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed structural designs for water/wastewater facilities, pump stations, tanks and other related structures.
• Develop finite element models to analyze structures.
• Learn the water/wastewater treatment process and the role of structural engineers.
• Create designs for basins, chemical facilities, admin buildings and retaining walls.
• Prepare construction cost estimates.
• Review construction submittals.
