Job summary

HDR in Omaha seeks a Senior Data Steward within the Water Business Group to define and govern data across Water disciplines. This embedded, enablement-focused leadership role connects to a broader data network and supports project delivery.

You will establish data standards, maintain a Water service line data glossary, drive adoption of data practices, and coordinate with the Technology Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, data science, business, computer science, or related field.
• At least 10 years in the Water engineering industry.
• Experience managing diverse teams.
• Ability to work with leaders across operations, technical directors and marketing managers.
• Active participation in HDR’s employee‑owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain data definitions for Water engineering terms to support structured models and AI use cases.
• Establish and coordinate data standards across the Water Business Group.
• Promote data quality and responsible use of data.
• Coordinate with the Technology Director to align data workflows with Water BG strategy.
• Lead change management to drive adoption of data standards and tools across the Water BG.
• Collaborate with Data Stewards, Enterprise Data Science Teams, and Enterprise Data Operations staff.
