Job summary

1-800 WATER DAMAGE is seeking a Restoration Technician to support on-site water extraction, drying, mold remediation and related reconstruction tasks. You will respond to service calls, operate cleaning equipment, and maintain tools with care.

The role requires IICRC WRT certification or equivalent experience, strong customer service, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• IICRC WRT certification or equivalent experience required.
• Regular restoration duties and service-call response.
• Ability to operate water/mold/fire cleanup equipment with minimal supervision.
• Maintain equipment and perform PPE compliant duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform water extraction, drying, mold remediation, and related reconstruction.
• Respond to service calls and complete tasks with care.
• Operate water, mold and fire-cleaning equipment efficiently.
• Clean, decontaminate, and maintain equipment after each job.
• Maintain fleet vehicle and shop/office cleanliness.
• Lift up to 75 lbs and work in PPE as required.

Restoration Technicians are expected to demonstrate a clear understanding of on-site production services, including, but not limited to: water extraction, the drying process, fire cleaning / deodorization, mold remediation and related reconstruction tasks. He/she must demonstrate organizational and problem-solving skills and exemplary customer service skills. While a restoration technicians’ primary role and expertise will be in water damage restoration, the cheerful participation in other related tasks such as fire damage restoration and small reconstruction services is expected.

• Must be able to pass a background check and be free of violent crime convictions or theft-related felonies within the past 10 years.

Trained To Excel In

• Securing signed work authorization & other relevant forms
• Moisture investigation/ Mapping/ Basic Scope Development
• Safe and timely completion of daily restoration related tasks.
• Completion of paperwork and/or real time input of drying conditions in system such as MICA and RMS
• Ability to operate efficiently with minimum supervision

Job Requirements

• Ability to operate all water, mold and fire cleaning equipment efficiently with minimal or no supervision
• Cleaning / decontamination / maintenance of equipment after job
• Fleet vehicle maintenance / cleaning
• Shop and office organization / cleaning
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs. – 75 lbs. consistently
• Physically able to work in Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
• Cheerfully available for after-hours, large loss and/or inclement weather emergency events on an as needed and rotational basis per current staffing levels
• Insurable drivers license with clean driving record and the ability to drive company vehicles under 10,000 lb. GVW
• Ability to tow all company-owned trailers
• Maintain a well-groomed and professional appearance
• Demonstrate a positive attitude in the work environment
• Maintain a good attendance record infrequent tardiness

Compensation: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
