Joining the Lightspeed Restoration team as a Water Damage Mitigation Team Lead is an excellent opportunity to continue to grow your career in the restoration industry! Help us take on the challenge of having a dedicated team for 24/7 water damage service calls at home, as well as responding when a major storm causes widespread damage in another part of the country. Between CAT events and the day to day water damage challenges at home, there will be plenty of excitement.

A Water Damage Restoration Lead Tech is responsible for overseeing and managing a crew for water damage mitigation, both during the work day and on an emergency basis (nights, weekends, holidays as needed). They will be managing job costs, production times, quality assurance and thorough documentation, as well as being responsible for a company vehicle and equipment. As needed, the Water Damage Restoration Lead Tech is also a working Field Technician who will supplement their water damage hours of work with our related service lines: mold remediation, air duct & dryer vent cleaning, etc. All of our services are provided for both residential and commercial customers. This is a full time position.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Respond 24/7 to emergency water damage mitigation situations as part of a rotating on-call roster
  • Manage the production, including hands-on work as required for water damage mitigation per written scope of work
  • Provide strong leadership to ensure successful, safe, timely, and profitable project delivery and completion
  • Provide thorough documentation on projects (i.e. photos, contracts, etc.) while being open to feedback on how to improve at all times
  • Work safely in a team environment
  • Ensures all safety measures are enforced on job site

Qualifications:

  • At least 2-5 years experience in restoration services (water damage preferred) (Required)
  • 1-2 years of leadership experience (Required)
  • WRT certification (Required to achieve full time/team lead status)
  • Other industry relevant certifications that are current that can include: IICRC, ASCS, OSHA 30, MICRO CMI/CMRC
  • Working knowledge of residential and / or commercial construction practices is a strong plus
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Able to work efficiently and effectively in a Team environment
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Able to coordinate a team as an effective leader to achieve production goals
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret Xactimate reports required for scope of work
  • Working knowledge of basic PC operations, smartphone usage, and ability to take clear photos for documentation
  • Exhibit a professional, neat appearance
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs
  • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record (Required)
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug test (Required)

  • Safety Glasses or Goggles
  • N-95 Respirators, cartridges
  • Poly Spun “Tyvek” style suits with hood and foot protection
  • Shoe covers, Knee Pads, and Muck Boots
  • Hard Hats, Ear Protection, and Steel Toe Shoes may be required, dependent on site application
  • Fall protection for aerial work
