Job summary

The Town of Silver City is seeking a Water Crew Member for the Utilities Department. The role involves indoor and outdoor work related to installing, maintaining, and repairing water and wastewater systems, piping, valves and accessories.

Work is performed under close supervision as a semi-skilled laborer. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, NM driver’s license, and the ability to obtain NM Water Level Certification 1 within 18 months.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • Valid New Mexico Driver's License with acceptable driving record; Commercial Driver's License preferred.
  • NM Water Level Certification 1 or ability to obtain within eighteen (18) months of hire.
  • Two (2) years of experience as a laborer, maintenance worker, construction helper or any similar related experience.
  • Experience Operating Heavy Equipment Preferred.

Responsibilities
