The Water Operator I (laborer) position at San Felipe Pueblo is an entry level role requiring EPA Level 1 Water Certification within one year, or willingness to obtain it. The Pueblo will provide training and cover costs to attain certification.
Responsibilities include assisting in daily operations and maintenance of water mains, services and appurtenances, performing laborer tasks under foreman direction, and learning safety requirements for water utility construction projects.
The Water Operator I (laborer) position shall have a certification level 1 for water system operation from EPA or be willing to obtain within one (1) year, as an entry level position with minimal knowledge required.

The Water Operator I (laborer) position shall have a certification level 1 for water system operation from EPA or be willing to obtain within one (1) year, as an entry level position with minimal knowledge required. Pueblo of San Felipe to provide training and cover associated costs to attain certification. Have previous experience in any former construction field.
Help in the day-to-day operations of repair and maintenance of water mains, water services, and water appurtenances and water utility construction that the WD undertakes. Use of a variety of hand tools (i.e. shovels, rakes, sledge hammers, power drills, power saws, grease gun, air tools, water pumps, jumping jack and flat plate tampers, etc.). Responsible for performing laborer work by following instructions of foreman and any other individuals identified by the foreman for water, sewer, and other construction projects to be undertaken by the WD.
