Job summary

McClure Engineering Company is seeking an On-Site Representative/Resident Project Representative (RPR) to work with project managers on a variety of construction projects. You will act as the primary liaison between client, contractor, and project team on-site, with a basic understanding of civil engineering work.

You will perform field visits, review plans, ensure compliance, and prepare daily reports while coordinating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must have 1–2 years of related field experience.
• Strong understanding of construction systems and industry standards.
• Demonstrates effective written and oral communication.
• Ability to manage priorities and stay organized on site.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular field visits to active construction sites and follow safety procedures.
• Read and interpret project plans and specifications.
• Observe projects for compliance with plans, codes, and standards.
• Prepare daily observation reports and project documentation.
• Communicate results to the project team and client.
• Serve as liaison to the project manager, client, and third parties.
• Monitor expenditures and assist in plan updates.
• Assess quantities and quality of materials, identify conflicts, and report scheduling issues.
• Attend design/progress meetings as required and gather survey data.
