Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a Utah driver’s license, and CDL within one year; operator and flagman certifications within two years.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.
• Must possess a valid Utah Driver's License; Class A CDL within one year.
• Must obtain a UT Water Operator Certificate within two years.
• Must obtain a UT State Flagman's Certification within two years.
• Must be certified by the department on all crew equipment within two years.
• Knowledge of tools and small equipment used in drinking water system operation.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; basic supervision.

• Perform general maintenance and labor work pertaining to the water system.
• Operate hand tools and equipment; assist with vehicle and equipment tasks.
