The City of Nampa is seeking a Water Capital Maintenance Tech to perform routine and skilled maintenance on domestic and pressurized irrigation water systems. Reports to the Capital Maintenance Supervisor within Water & Irrigation.

The role involves onsite work in a plant environment with exposure to chemicals and traffic, and requires strong safety awareness. Key duties include installing and servicing water lines, meters, and valves; performing emergency shutdowns; and operating heavy

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED; Required
• Experience: 2+ years in maintenance or equivalent
• Certifications/ Licenses: Class A license with Tanker/Combo; Air brake endorsements; Water Distribution I license within 2 years

Responsibilities

• Installs and maintains domestic and non-domestic water services and lines per regulations.
• Performs emergency shutdowns or repairs; responds to emergency/flood calls.
• Operates heavy, light, and specialized equipment following safety standards.
• Maintains work zones to ensure public safety and communicate with stakeholders.
• Completes duties with accurate records and ongoing training.
