Job summary

Garver is seeking a Water Automation Team Leader to drive growth in services for municipal and private clients by automation of control systems across water and industrial applications.

The role requires strategic leadership, cross-team collaboration, and hands-on oversight of project delivery, with emphasis on risk management and profitability. Experience leading distributed teams and deep automation expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Control Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years in leadership roles managing multi-site or national teams incl. in-person and remote members.
• 15-20 years of progressive technical experience in automation control systems and SCADA.
• Knowledge of ISA/IEC standards for HMI, alarm management, and cybersecurity.
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 trends, predictive maintenance, and AI in automation.
• Proven ability to grow and mentor a Water Automation team and manage projects.
• Strong PM skills: budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and client coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a business and financial plan for Garver's Water Automation Practice Area Team.
• Collaborate with regional Water Business Line teams on business development activities.
• Collaborate with Garver's Private Sector group on business development for private water and industrial clients.
• Partner with marketing and BD teams to lead pursuit and capture of top-line projects.
• Oversee hiring and growth of the Water Automation team to support the business plan.
• Provide leadership for project delivery with focus on risk management and profitability.
• Maintain relationships with Water Design Center Electrical and I&C teams.
