Job summary

Garver is seeking a Water Automation Team Leader in Frisco, TX to drive growth for municipal and private clients through automation of control systems. The role guides strategy, expands the national team, and delivers projects with a focus on risk management and profitability.

You will collaborate with regional teams, lead business development with the private sector, and work with design centers to coordinate requirements, while mentoring staff and shaping Garver’s water automation capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Control Systems, or related field; MBA is a plus.
• 15–20 years of progressive technical experience in automation, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
• PE license is preferred.
• Experience in PLC/SCADA, HMI graphics, and cybersecurity.
• Strong program management and client relationship skills.
• Familiarity with ISA/IEC standards, Industry 4.0, predictive maintenance, and AI in automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a business and financial plan for Garver’s Water Automation Practice Area Team.
• Collaborate with regional Water Business Line teams on business development.
• Grow and mentor a Water Automation team across the nation.
• Lead pursuit and capture efforts for top-line revenue.
• Oversee project delivery with risk management and profitability.
• Maintain strong relationships with Garver’s Water Design Center Electrical and I&C teams.
