Description

We're looking for dynamic Water Aerobics Instructors to lead fun, energizing, and effective fitness classes in the pool! As part of our team, you'll help participants of all ages and fitness levels achieve their wellness goals through water-based workouts, from cardio routines to strength training, all while ensuring safety and proper form.

Anticipated Working Hours: Our ideal candidates will have availability to work Monday - Friday in the mornings and Monday/Wednesday in the evenings.

Compensation

Hiring Range: $23.56/hr - $26.51/hr

Full Pay Range: $23.56/hr - $29.45/hr

Responsibilities
Aquatics Operations
  • Performs duties associated with instructing or leading aquatic programs.
  • Provides a safe, effective, and supportive learning environment for diverse participants.
  • Stays updated on latest trends and techniques; evaluates class effectiveness.
  • Plans class curriculum and conducts instruction.
  • Adapts activities for various skill levels.
  • Sets up and takes down equipment.
Administrative Duties
  • Maintains records and reports, including attendance.
  • Provides excellent guest service and responds to inquiries and concerns.
  • Communicates with staff and reports issues as needed.
  • Attends staff meetings and training.
Other Responsibilities
  • Ensures safety by enforcing rules and policies.
  • Participates in marketing and training activities.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 16 years old.
  • Two years of related experience or training preferred.
Certificates & Licenses
  • One nationally accredited group fitness certification (NASM, ACE, AFFA) or the ability to obtain within six months.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications.
Additional Requirements

Pre-employment screenings include background checks (criminal, sex-offender registry, DMV report).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of aquatic operations, excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills. Ability to handle emergency situations and perform CPR, First Aid, AED.

Physical & Environmental Factors

Work in a recreational facility environment, involving walking, standing, lifting, and working with equipment.
