Apple Inc. in Boulder, CO is seeking a senior software engineer for watchOS Systems to shape the future of Apple Watch.

You will build and optimize foundational software driving performance and power efficiency across the device. You will prototype new technologies, tackle complex open-ended problems, and collaborate with hardware and software teams to define system-level features and performance analysis tools.

Qualifications

• 8+ years industry experience.
• Deep technical understanding and hands-on experience with software development and lifecycle management.
• Experience with low-level OS systems, i.e. kernel, Darwin or drivers.
• Deep experience with power and performance measurement and investigation techniques.
• Solid computer science fundamentals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with a technical team.

Responsabilités

• Architect core OS features and performance tooling.
• Define and implement system-level functionality (process lifecycle, memory management, 64-bit OS transition).
• Dive into other teams’ code to diagnose and resolve power issues.
• Build and maintain tools to model and analyze performance and memory.
