Summit Management Corporation seeks a Security/Watchman for the Moxy Hotel Hillsboro Village to safeguard guests, staff, and property on assigned shifts. You will monitor cameras, patrol interiors and exteriors, verify identities, and enforce access controls while coordinating with authorities during incidents.

Responsibilities

• Monitor surveillance cameras to ensure the security of the hotel premises.
• Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior areas to detect and deter suspicious activities.
• Verify the identity of individuals entering the hotel and ensure they have proper authorization.
• Control access to restricted areas and maintain a log of visitors.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies.
• Coordinate with local authorities and hotel management in case of incidents.

Job Description:

As a Security/Watchman at Moxy Hotel, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff, and hotel property during your assigned shifts. The Security/Watchman plays a critical role in maintaining a secure and comfortable environment, preventing unauthorized access, and responding effectively to emergencies. This position requires a keen sense of observation, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle various security-related tasks in a professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Property Surveillance:

Monitor surveillance cameras to ensure the security of the hotel premises.

Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior areas to detect and deter suspicious activities.

Access Control:

Verify the identity of individuals entering the hotel and ensure they have proper authorization.

Control access to restricted areas and maintain a log of visitors.

Emergency Response:

Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies.

Coordinate with local authorities and hotel management in case of incidents.

Guest and Staff Assistance:

Assist guests and staff with security-related concerns and inquiries.

Provide a visible and approachable presence to enhance the sense of security.

Incident Reporting:

Document all security-related incidents and prepare detailed reports.

Communicate incidents and observations to the Director of Security and other relevant personnel.

Safety Compliance:

Enforce hotel safety and security policies and procedures.

Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards.

Equipment Maintenance:

Ensure the proper functioning of security equipment, such as surveillance cameras and alarms.

Report any malfunctions and coordinate repairs as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Light work - exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
