Job summary

Keel is seeking a Watchguard to maintain the safety and security of our facility. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access, and support visitor management and employment applications with vigilance and professionalism.

The role requires independent work, strong observation, and the ability to follow established security procedures. This is an on-site position in Hollywood, SC, offering a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for certification sponsorship and career growth.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience in security or similar role.
  • Strong observation and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of basic security and access control procedures.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to complete accurate reports and maintain records.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct periodic patrols of facility buildings, grounds, and designated yard areas to ensure security.
  • Perform inspections of the facility, buildings, and outdoor areas.
  • Submit patrol reports documenting inspections and status of areas.
  • Monitor and control access through the facility gate by checking visitors in and out.
  • Issue and collect PPE for visitors entering the facility.
  • Serve as primary contact in the Guard House for employment applicants and forward applications to HR.

Your Mission

The Watchguard is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the facility by conducting routine patrols, monitoring access to the property, and providing administrative support related to visitor management and employment applications. This position requires vigilance, professionalism, and the ability to work independently while following established security procedures.

Explore the Depth of the Role
  • Conduct periodic patrols of all facility buildings, grounds, and designated yard areas to ensure the security and integrity of the property.
  • Perform frequent in‑person inspections of the entire facility, including all buildings and outdoor areas.
  • Complete and submit required patrol reports documenting inspections, observations, and the status of all areas checked.
  • Monitor and control access through the facility gate by checking visitors in and out in accordance with company procedures.
  • Issue and collect required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, for visitors entering the facility.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact in the Guard House for employment applicants by receiving completed employment applications and forwarding them to the Human Resources/Personnel Department.
  • Perform employee and visitor badge issuance and management as needed, ensuring proper identification and access control.
  • Maintain accurate records related to visitor access, patrol activities, and badge issuance.
  • Respond appropriately to unusual situations or security concerns and report incidents according to company policy.
  • Promote a safe, secure, and professional environment for employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 0‑2 years of experience
  • Strong observation and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of basic security and access control procedures.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to complete accurate reports and maintain records.
  • Professional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound judgment and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

  • May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach/pull/push with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel regularly.
  • May lift or carry 50lbs. Weights exceeding 50lbs will require mechanical means to maneuver.
