Job summary

Keel in Merrill, MI is seeking a General Labor/Janitorial worker to support facility sanitation and maintenance. You will clean walls, floors, equipment, restock supplies, and assist maintenance staff to ensure a safe, clean manufacturing environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 1–3 years janitorial experience in a manufacturing setting, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, good communication, and the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks.

Your Mission: (job summary here)

General labor job associated with facility sanitation duties and work with Maintenance staff.

Explore the Depth of the Role: (Job Duties/responsibilities)

• Duties include cleaning walls, floors, equipment, or any other areas of the facility.
• Restocking cleaning supplies and maintaining janitor closets in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
• Disposing of waste, managing coolant supplies and waste system, sanitation of facilities, and equipment maintenance of lighting, and other related areas of the facilities and ground duties and other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Incumbents will assist maintenance mechanics with maintenance of equipment.
• Accountable for clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

Mission Readiness: (Education and Experience/skills/abilities):

• High School Diploma or equivalent and basic knowledge of cleaning products.
• One to three years of janitorial experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Typically requires the ability to follow basic verbal and written instructions, such as the ability to read and follow label instructions on cleaning supplies and work independently.
• Good communication skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Travel Requirements:

• Occasional travel between facilities and customer sites as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach/pull/push with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel regularly.
• May lift or carry 50lbs. Weights exceeding 50lbs will require mechanical means to maneuver.
