Job summary

Keel is seeking entry-level fabrication support in Goose Creek, SC. You’ll learn shop processes, safety standards, and equipment operation while assisting with beveling, material prep, and layout work under supervision.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and up to 2 years in manufacturing or related fields. Strong reading of blueprints and basic math are important, with a willingness to learn GD&T concepts.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years of manufacturing, welding, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read measuring tools (tape measures, calipers).
• Familiar with blueprint readings.
• Willingness to learn GD&T concepts.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work safely in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with beveling operations using hand grinders and basic tools
• Clean and prepare materials for cutting and welding
• Support layout work under supervision
• Maintain clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Assist in equipment setup and material handling
• Complete assigned tasks with guidance from senior team members
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Your Mission:

Performs basic beveling, grinding, and material preparation tasks under close supervision while learning shop processes, safety standards, and equipment operation.

• Assist with beveling operations using hand grinders and basic tools
• Clean and prepare materials for cutting and welding
• Support layout work under supervision
• Maintain clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Requirements

Mission Readiness:

Physical Requirements:

• May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach/pull/push with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel regularly.
• May lift or carry 50lbs. Weights exceeding 50lbs will require mechanical means to maneuver.
