Job summary

Shinola in Detroit seeks a Watch Repair Technician to rework and repair watches through all assembly stages, ensuring quality and consistency. You will help reduce downtime, support training, and improve yield while assisting assembly operations to maintain cycle times and on-time delivery.

You will work with MS Access and SOPs, collaborating with teams to drive continuous improvement in a hands-on, high-precision environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 3+ years of watch assembly experience.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly.
• Experience with SOPs, training methods, and basic operational systems (MS Access preferred).

Responsibilities

• Rework rejects found throughout all stages of the watch assembly process.
• Inspect rejects from operators and quality gates, recording data for review.
• Support improved yield and faster root cause analysis.
• Train assemblers on operations and review SOPs for improvements.
• Support operator efficiency, yield improvement, and reduced turnover.
• Maintain on-cycle staffing to ensure on-time delivery.
