Job summary

TWA Hotel seeks a Watch Engineer to inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment at the Jamaica, New York property. You will perform daily mechanical inspections, monitor and adjust building temperatures, and analyze energy usage to ensure efficient operations.

The role requires an HVAC certification (FDNY Refrigeration Engineer Q01) and the ability to work in confined spaces, with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• HVAC Certification - FDNY Refrigeration Engineer Q01 qualification.
• Able to move in confined or elevated spaces.
• Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing more than 100 pounds with assistance.
• Flexible schedule that includes days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and report them.
• Complete safety training and certifications to perform task.
• Follow policies for safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, and machines.
• Follow Hazardous Material Management Program procedures for handling chemicals and SDS.
• Monitor energy and utilities usage to optimize costs and efficiency.
• Maintain daily operation logs and coordinate with vendors for large-scale issues.
