Job summary

gpac partnered with a well-established food manufacturing company to hire a Wastewater Technician for the first shift. You will monitor and maintain wastewater treatment equipment, perform preventative maintenance on pumps, run chemical tests, and document readings to ensure proper treatment levels.

Ideal candidates have mechanical aptitude, can work independently, and are comfortable around industrial equipment in wet or variable environments.

Qualifications

Hands-on role maintaining wastewater equipment and performing tests.
Requires ability to work independently and troubleshoot.
Comfortable around industrial equipment in wet or variable temperatures.
Overtime may be required, including some Saturdays.
Must be at least 18 and legally eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and systems.
Perform daily oiling, greasing, and preventative maintenance on pumps and equipment.
Conduct chemical testing, drawdowns, and jar tests to maintain proper treatment levels.
Monitor pH levels, calibrate probes, and document readings.
Inspect pumps, water flow, and chemical delivery systems while making adjustments as needed.
Monitor water pit levels and overall wastewater system performance.
Maintain chemical inventory and coordinate timely reordering.
Complete required operational logs and documentation.
Follow all food safety, environmental, and workplace safety procedures.
