Job summary

gpac is partnering with a well-established food manufacturing company to fill a Wastewater Technician position on the 1st shift. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting wastewater treatment equipment while ensuring safety and quality standards.

You'll monitor pumps, perform preventive maintenance, conduct chemical tests, and maintain logs. The package includes hourly pay of $25.00–$31.00 with a $1.50 weekly attendance bonus, strong benefits, paid holidays, vacation,

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Able to work overtime, including Saturdays.
• Authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship).
• Experience around industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and systems.
• Perform daily oiling, greasing, and preventative maintenance on pumps and equipment.
• Conduct chemical testing, drawdowns, and jar tests to maintain proper treatment levels.
• Monitor pH levels, calibrate probes, and document readings.
• Inspect pumps, water flow, and chemical delivery systems while making adjustments as needed.
• Monitor water pit levels and overall wastewater system performance.
• Maintain chemical inventory and coordinate timely reordering.
• Complete required operational logs and documentation.
• Follow all food safety, environmental, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist with other wastewater operations and maintenance tasks as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Comfortable working around industrial equipment in wet or varying temperature environments
• Ability to work overtime as needed, including occasional Saturdays
• At least 18 and authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, industrial, wastewater, or production experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Stable work history
