Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a maintenance-focused technician to assure quality control of the biological wastewater system through monitoring and routine upkeep. You will perform preventative maintenance, adjust components, and operate related pumps and equipment to keep systems in optimal condition.

The role requires self-motivation, the ability to work nights and weekends, and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years' experience in industrial/commercial wastewater treatment facility.
Minimum 3 years' maintenance experience in production environment.
Must have basic math and computer skills.
Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shifts.

Responsibilities

Under minimal supervision, monitor wastewater system equipment (pumps, motors, electrical components).
Perform routine/preventive maintenance (belts, oil changes) to ensure optimal operation.
Report variances to appropriate personnel.
Operate pumps, dewatering equipment, compressors and chemical feed equipment.
Maintain housekeeping tasks for tools, equipment, facilities and grounds.
Comply with all company policies and safety regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
