Job summary

Case Farms in Morganton, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform operational maintenance on water treatment systems, monitor plant operations, and maintain daily records. The role includes rotating tasks, cross-training, and driving a wastewater truck as needed.

Responsibilities cover monitoring readings, performing chemical analyses, operating control computers and ensuring proper operation of rendering and offal equipment. Strong attention to safety and attendance is required.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent not required but beneficial.
• Must pass waste water truck driving test.
• Must be willing to learn all jobs in assigned area.
• Good attendance (Less than 4 Points).
• Must have good basic math skills.
• Able to work without or little supervision.
• NO disciplinary write-ups in last 6 months.
• Skilled in oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Performs operational maintenance on all water treatment systems.
• Pump blood from kill room.
• Monitors wastewater treatment plant and identifies needed changes and potential problems; makes necessary adjustments.
• Performs chemical analysis of water samples.
• Operates a computer to monitor pump stations, plant operations, and alarms.
• Maintains daily records and shift logs of plant operations.
• Reviews readings from meters, computers, and instruments.
• Yard jockey - drives wastewater truck.
• Oversees the operation of per-treatment equipment.
• Ensure the Proper operation of rendering and Offal equipment.
• Be willing to cross train and learn all tasks in department.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
