Job summary

RSI EnTech, LLC is seeking an Operations Engineer to oversee wastewater treatment facilities’ operation, maintenance, and optimization at Fernald, OH. The role combines hands-on fieldwork with system-level troubleshooting to ensure regulatory compliance and efficiency.

The position requires 50% field presence, travel up to 10%, and a starting salary in the $65k–$75k range. A valid driver’s license is required and a bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, environmental, or related field.
• 0-5 years of relevant industrial maintenance/field engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular field inspections of site infrastructure and treatment systems.
• Develop and maintain operational procedures.
• Collect, manage and report operational data.
• Troubleshoot and oversee repairs for pumps, valves, VFDs, and other equipment.
• Monitor PLC/SCADA control logic and support maintenance.
• Participate in project design reviews from a mechanical engineering perspective.
• Interact with subcontractors and vendors.
