Job summary

Sunoco LP is seeking a Reclamation B Operator in Powderly, AL to safely operate reclamation processing systems and associated equipment for petroleum-contaminated wastewater and related materials. You will monitor performance, collect samples, and maintain compliance with environmental, safety, and operational standards.

The role involves receiving materials, unloading, transferring between storage tanks, and operating pretreatment systems (DAF) and biological treatment (SBR).

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to safely operate industrial process equipment and learn advanced treatment systems.
• Working knowledge of pumps, motors, valves, piping systems, and industrial controls.
• Ability to interpret operating data and recognize abnormal process conditions.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and process-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming PCW deliveries to verify material type and volume.
• Safely unload PCW using approved equipment and procedures and monitor for spills.
• Transfer products between storage tanks using facility piping systems and pumps.
• Operate the Diffused Air Flotation (DAF) and Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) systems.
• Document logs and reports, monitor process data, and ensure regulatory compliance.
