Position Overview

We are offering a unique opportunity to join our Tampa, Florida office and provide high-quality wastewater engineering services to municipal clients throughout the South region and across the nation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute work on wastewater system design, planning, and construction projects by leading and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Determine the overall delivery approach for projects and partner with senior leadership to develop technical approaches.
  • Schedule and track project budgets, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Utilize Woodard & Curran’s Project Management Framework to execute all projects.
  • Communicate proactively to keep project management and technical teams updated.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers and subcontractors to support project delivery.
  • Interact with clients and represent the firm professionally.
  • Visit client sites for meetings, proposal development, and construction status observation.
  • Coordinate with contractors and clients in the field during construction to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Interface with state and local regulatory agencies and permitting officials.
  • Conduct and coordinate QA/QC reviews on project deliverables.
  • Collaborate with leadership on staffing projects.
  • Provide input on development of design guidelines and standards.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and training programs.
  • Support business development under the direction of a client manager.
Qualifications
  • 10‑15 years of consulting engineering experience.
  • B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. M.S. Degree preferred.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Florida (or ability to apply for reciprocity).
  • Project management and delivery expertise in civil and environmental engineering.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with strong project management skills.
  • Well‑versed in state and federal regulations.
  • Knowledgeable in state bidding laws and funding programs.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with proposal writing and developing project scope, budget, and schedules.
Location

Tampa, FL office (Hybrid). Candidates are expected to be in the office at least one day per week, with additional on‑site presence as needed.

Travel

Approximately 20%.

Compensation

$145,000 - $175,000 a year, with final salary dependent on experience level.

Mutual Dispute Resolution (MDR)
  • MDR applies to both you and the Company.
  • Most workplace disputes are resolved through binding arbitration, not court.
  • Certain exceptions are outlined in the agreement.
