Job summary

Wilson Engineers seeks an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Manager to lead complex municipal water and wastewater projects from its Minden, Nevada office, delivering technically sound infrastructure solutions for communities in the region.

Applicants must hold a Civil Engineering degree with a PE license, have at least five years of water/wastewater design experience and two years in project management, and be proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering Degree with Professional Engineer license.
• Minimum of five years of Water/Wastewater related design experience and at least two years in project management.
• Experience with design of treatment facilities, collection systems, booster and pump stations, water, reclaimed water, and wastewater master plans.
• Experience with construction-related engineering services and reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, and Engineer Directives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Lead complex civil engineering projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver water and wastewater infrastructure solutions.
• Develop engineering designs, technical reports, construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, permitting documentation, and alternatives analyses.
• Manage projects from planning through final delivery, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule objectives.
• Ensure design/construction complies with codes, regulations, standards, and client requirements.
• Provide engineering support during construction, including design reviews and field issue resolution.

As a high-growth firm, Wilson Engineers offers the opportunity to work on impactful and technically challenging projects alongside a talented and passionate team. We are currently seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Manager to join our Minden, Nevada office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead complex civil engineering projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative water and wastewater infrastructure solutions.
• Develop engineering designs, technical reports, construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, permitting documentation, and alternatives analyses for municipal water and wastewater projects.
• Manage projects from initial planning and conceptual design through final delivery, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule objectives are achieved.
• Ensure project compliance with applicable codes, regulations, industry standards, and client performance requirements throughout all phases of design and construction.
• Provide engineering support during construction, including design reviews, technical evaluations, and resolution of field issues to ensure successful project execution.
• Drive technical leadership, mentorship, and direction to engineering staff, coordinating design tasks and ensuring high-quality, timely project deliverables.

Requirements

• Civil Engineering Degree with Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Water/Wastewater related design and experience with construction-related engineering services with at least (2) years of project management experience.
• Relevant experience shall include design of treatment facilities, collection systems, booster and pump stations, water, reclaimed water, and wastewater master plans.
• Experience with construction-related engineering services with the ability to review Shop Drawings, RFIs, issuing Engineers Directives etc.
• Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software capabilities.
