Job summary

HDR is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex wastewater projects within the Water Business Group across the Nebraska/Iowa area. You will drive technical design, scheduling, budgeting, and staffing while coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality results.

You will build strong client relationships, pursue new business opportunities, mentor staff, and collaborate with HDR’s Marketing and Business Class to win key pursuits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
  • 7+ years of related experience.
  • At least 2 years of project management experience.
  • Professional engineering license (PE or P.Eng) is recognized in the position location.
  • Experience with MS Office and MS Project; Access is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and commitment to HDR employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in delivery of engineering services and lead technical design and project management.
  • Develop and manage projects with technical complexity across multiple disciplines.
  • Track scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and deliverables through the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate staffing and workload balance for successful deliverables.
  • Maintain QA/QC procedures and project delivery quality.
  • Collaborate with accounting, operations, and business leadership for project reviews.
  • Establish and strengthen client relationships and lead client management activities.
  • Collaborate across HDR water market sectors to meet client needs and expand services.
  • Pursue new projects with Business Class and Marketing staff, acting as champion in key pursuits.
  • Serve as Project Manager for key projects, supporting Business Class and staff development.
  • Supervise and mentor staff.
