Job summary

HDR is seeking an experienced engineering professional to support the Water Business Group in the Nebraska/Iowa area, managing complex wastewater projects and driving new business development with water clients.

The role entails leading technical design and project management, coordinating across disciplines, tracking scope, schedule and budget, and mentoring staff while strengthening client relationships and expanding HDR’s water market services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 7+ years of related experience.
• Minimum 2 years of project management experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the position's location (e.g., PE or P.Eng).
• Experience with MS Office and MS Project.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Commitment to HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design and project management on wastewater projects.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and manage scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables.
• Maintain QA/QC procedures and project quality.
• Manage client relationships and pursue new opportunities.
• Serve as Project Manager for key projects and mentor staff.
