Job summary

WSACC seeks an engineer to perform intermediate professional work in planning, design, and construction of water distribution, treatment facilities, and wastewater systems. You will provide project management for major capital projects and coordinate with staff, local government officials, and regulatory agencies.

A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and moderate experience are required; NC Driver’s License; EI license preferred or obtainable within 6 months; professional engineer license

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field and moderate experience in water/wastewater project design.
• Experience with project coordination, bid coordination, and contract administration.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing utility systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and supervise water distribution/wastewater projects.
• Coordinate with regulators and consultants; manage project costs and specifications.
• Provide cost estimates and prepare bid documents.
